Brides with wedding planners may plan their own weddings using these guidelines.
Caterer must furnish Tidewater Wedding Chapel with proof of liability insurance, proof of host liquor liability and proof of workers compensation insurance for all staff working the event. We must have these one month prior to the event. No exceptions.
Caterer must obligate to leave the carriage house in pristine condition, haul off all trash (nothing in our dumpster), and generally leave the premises in as-found condition. We will furnish a checklist. If our housekeeping staff has to clean up after your event, or the police or fire department is called to the Charleston wedding chapel for anything other than a medical emergency, additional charges may be levied.
Tidewater furnishes a catering kitchen. There is no cooking to be done on premise.
Caterer must bring ice or make arrangements to purchase ice from our icemakers.
Your wedding planner must pick up the keys to Tidewater Wedding Chapel and take a tour of the facility if that person hasn't worked here before. The wedding planner has opening and closing responsibilities.
Weekday Charleston weddings: Your wedding planner has access to the Tidewater Wedding chapel and carriage house from 4 pm on.
Weekend Charleston weddings: Your wedding planner has access to the Tidewater Wedding chapel and carriage house for the entire day.
You may use your own minister or JP, or you may book one of our Charleston wedding officiants (does not change overall fee).
